Inspiration Meeting

Are you a cultural coordinator, librarian, preschool teacher, teacher, organiser, musician, or/and do you work with music for children and young people?

Welcome to an inspiring afternoon about the significance of music for children and young people. A collaboration between Konserthuset Stockholm and Region Stockholm.

Registration from 14:30. Coffee/tea and cake will be served. Music will be performed by an ensemble of former Summer Musicians. The programme starts at 15:00.

From the programme:

  • Musician/singing teacher Karin Westerberg Kindgren, together with musical artist/speech therapist Hanna Norman, will inspire us on how music and singing can benefit children’s language learning and development even before they start school.
  • Music therapist Lis Jacobsson will talk about how young people working summer jobs in Sundbyberg are engaged in music as care.
  • The young musicians will share what the Summer Musician job at the Concert Hall has meant to them.
  • Ayla Kabaca and Klas Backman have successfully organised several school and family concerts at the Concert Hall. How do you engage children with music?
  • Information about the new Network for Universal Culture (NUK), which works with relaxed performance and accessibility for all.

Evening concert at a special price

After the Inspiration Meeting, you will have the opportunity to attend the evening concert Shostakovich – First and Last at a special price. Hear the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Chief Conductor Ryan Bancroft. The evening’s soloist is violinist Clara-Jumi Kang.

More information about the offer will be sent out with the ticket release on August 21 to those who have registered for the Inspiration Meeting.

Final registration date: 8 October.
The event is free of charge, and registration is binding.
