Sthlm Blue Tide

In STHLM Blue Tide, music is free to move beyond the expected. Notated or improvised, acoustic and electronic, tradition and the present day. The unpredictable and the hard to define are not exceptions, but the very starting point.

The name carries several layers. STHLM points to the place: Konserthuset Stockholm, the blue concert hall at Hötorget. Blue refers both to the building itself and to an emotional depth – openness and reflection. Tide evokes Stockholm as a city on water, and a place where movements continually shift: where currents – or genres – meet and give rise to something new.
